Shirley Home Learning conducts Mock Tests every year to help students get ready for the 11+ exams in September. There are 4 mock tests in the year 2025-2026, and these are open to everyone.

Dates for Mock Tests (in person, at Woodlands Infant School, Shirley, Solihull)

1. 28th March 2026

2. 16th May 2026

3. 18th July 2026

4. 15th August 2026

All mock tests will be taking place at Woodlands School, Woodlands Lane, Shirley B90 2PX, from 09:50 to 12:00. There will be no online tests, as we are aiming to emulate the real test as closely as possible to give your child a similar experience to the 11+ exam.

Course Coverage

The Mock Tests will be split into various sections covering the following topics-

1) Mathematics - This includes problem solving, word problems and arithmetic

2) Non Verbal and Spatial Reasoning - This includes odd one out, coded shapes, similarities and more

3) Verbal Reasoning - This contains antonyms, synonyms, homophones, sequences and more

4) English - This contains comprehension and other question types

Please note that these lists are non exhaustive - more topics will be covered.

Payment

The cost per mock test is £60. Booking all 4 mock tests gives a discounted price of £225.

This fee includes the mock test and a 60 minute review session for each test.
